Performance Calendar

The Man In The Bowler Hat a terribly exciting affair!
Written by A.A. Milne and directed by Taffy McCarthy and live action poetry will be presented by Island Theatre Workshop at the Grange Theatre in West Tisbury on Thursday May 9, Friday May 10 and Sat May 11 at 7:30 pm with a special matinee at 4:00 on Sat May 11.

The play is a stylish madcap farce that spoofs some of the great comedy of manners such as “The Importance of Being Ernest”. Much musical madness and hilarity ensues.
The first part of the evening will be theatricalized versions of poems from A.A. Milne's classic books of poetry for the young and young at heart “When We Were Very Young” and “Now We Are Six” including “Sneezles”, “The Kings Breakfast”, and “Binker”.
A.A. Milne is well known for creating Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin.
The cast includes island favorites Jesse Seward, Katie Feeks, Rykerr Manyrd, Jane Loutzenhiser, Phil Kane and Buck Reidy.
Tickets are $12 and $8 for students. Available only at the door!

By REMY TUMIN Little money, a backstage dressing room the size of an office desk — it’s all part of the charm of working in community theatre. But when the audiences, about half of whom you know personally, laugh or gasp or sit in mesmerized silence it’s all worth it. “That kind of reward, you [...]
